Cragg Vale Gamelan
Cragg Vale Gamelan, an Indonesian-inspired percussion orchestra based in the Calder Valley, West Yorkshire, England perfomed for 18 years from 1987 to 2005. This website remains as an archive - for further information about the gamelan email Jan Scott.
Many of the band's tuned and untuned percussion instruments, including Indonesian gongs and metallophones were made in Yorkshire from recycled materials. Gamelan members met weekly for rehearsals and spent each summer touring to festivals around the UK.
Many of the instruments have been inherited by a new organisation, Gongfusion
